2016-2017  Kimberly Autrey, LPC, NCC  All Rights Reserved.

I am a graduate of East Carolina University with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a graduate of Liberty University with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I completed my clinical training at a community-based agency providing intensive outpatient treatment for addictions and the underlying trauma that drives addictions. In addition, I provided group therapy treating anxiety, depression, grief and other mental health issues. As a result, I became skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, both core elements of my integrated treatment approach in private practice.

In addition to my work in private practice, I have spent time as a Licensed Therapist in a partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program. During this time, I offered mental health and substance abuse treatment through daily therapy groups and psycho-educational classes teaching coping skills for emotion regulation, stress management, mindfulness, relapse prevention and interpersonal effectiveness. I also pursued additional training in treating trauma to become skilled in EMDR and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Prior to entering private practice, I owned and managed two successful businesses for 18 years in the behavioral health field, serving clients with intellectual disabilities and other mental health issues. During this time, I gained valuable experience in mentoring staff to achieve professional success and fulfillment.  I use this experience in helping clients manage stress, execute career changes, with entrepreneurial pursuits and to move beyond what is holding them back from reaching their full potential.
